One aspect of the beauty and uniqueness of the Kiryat Shemona Hesder Yeshiva is that it creates an incredibly strong support system for our students throughout their army service and extending into the rest of their lives. From the moment they begin with us, they are part of a community that supports them throughout their service in the different branches and units of the IDF. Through food baskets and personal items sent to them during their regular service, personal visits and phone calls from the Rabbis, room and board for Shabbatot, and spiritual and emotional support, it is critical for them to know that we are here for them every step of the way.
Being a part of something bigger than themselves gives our students a sense of purpose and conviction that deepens their army service as well as their future civilian life. Every year, we have 60 – 70 soldiers serving full-time in the IDF.
